Ugly Warts Cramping Your Style? Get Rid Of Them With These 3 Natural Home Remedies

Posted on

Warts are growths on the skin that are usually benign (meaning they are non-cancerous). However, they are common and contagious. Most of them are completely harmless and will go away on their own within several weeks or months. Until then, though, they are unattractive and bothersome, causing embarrassment and discomfort to many. So, if you're interested in speeding up the process, here are three natural remedies to give a try:

1. Fresh Garlic

One natural way to get rid of your warts is to apply fresh garlic to them and cover them with a bandage each night before going to bed (and removing when you wake up). You'll take a fresh garlic clove, and cut it in half. Use the inside portion of the garlic and rub onto the wart. Make sure the entire wart is covered thoroughly in the juices from the garlic clove. Rub for one to two minutes. Now, cut the garlic so that it is just a little bit larger around than the wart itself, place it on top of the wart, and affix it with a piece of athletic tape or a bandage. Usually, you will see results within a week if the wart is small, and a few weeks if the wart is large.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Another popular home remedy is to use apple cider vinegar. You will need a glass of pure apple cider vinegar, a cotton ball and a bandage. Using your fingers, dip the cotton ball into the apple cider vinegar until it is completely soaked. Pull it out and lightly wring it out, then place it directly onto the wart. Wipe away any excess vinegar and cover it with a bandage. Make sure that the cotton ball is completely covered with the bandage. This process should be repeated on a daily basis and can be done at night like the garlic.

3. Dandelions

Those pretty yellow flowers that grow in your yard have more than just a beautiful bloom, as they can help dissolve your unsightly warts. Whether you use the stem, the roots or the leaves from the flower, there is a white sticky resin that is exuded from dandelions that can be used to fight warts. Apply the milky white liquid directly to the wart on a daily basis, or several times throughout the day, cover with a bandage, and watch the wart slowly dissolve away. You should see improvements within about a week.
